News

OpenMP has recently emerged as an industry standard interface for shared memory programming of parallel computer applications. With OpenMP, it is now possible to write applications with a shared memory programming model, portable to a wide range of parallel computers.

This workshop is the first to focus on aspects of parallel computing where OpenMP is used. The workshop will include both invited and contributed presentations. We are happy to announce the participation of John Levesque, IBM T.J. Watson Research Institute, Ross Towle, Silicon Graphics Inc. and Timothy Mattsson Intel and OpenMP Architecture Review Board.

We strongly encourage potential participants to submit abstracts for presentations. Application developers are especially welcome to take part in the meeting.

Registration

I'm sorry to say that both the workshop and the tutorial are now fully booked and that we cannot take more participants.

The fee for the workshop is 1600 SEK (ca 183 euro or 188 USD) for registration up until September 6th and 2400 SEK (ca 275 euro or 281 USD) after September 6th. The registration fee includes access to presentations, printed workshop proceedings, breaks, workshop dinner on the evening of September 30th and one lunch.

Registration is limited to 55 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please fill out the registration form on-line. If that is not possible, you can download a registration form in PDF-format here. You can fill out the form in your PDF-viewer, print it and then fax it.

Tutorial

The workshop will on September 30th be preceded by a half-day tutorial introducing OpenMP. The tutorial will be presented by Timothy Mattson, Intel corporation. It will feature hands-on exercises and the number of participants is therefore limited to 18 on a first-come, first-served basis.

The fee for the tutorial is 500 SEK (ca 57 euro or 59 USD) for registration up until September 6th and 750 SEK (ca 86 euro or 88 USD) after September 6th. You can register for the tutorial at the same time you register for the workshop. It is possible to register for only the tutorial. More details about the tutorial can be found here.
