| The project focuses on the development of innovative systems exploiting unique architectural features of structured silicon components. The project is problem oriented rather than task driven and aims to improve skills for rapid prototyping of algorithms on a FPGA platform. Project duration is an entire semester. In the first half, the skills
are sharpened by some small but challenging assignments. Simultaneously
the problem is introduced from various angles by a series of lectures
+ some limited exercises. Half way, design teams are formed each with
their own product plan to be implemented in the second half of the project.
The course ends with the public presentation of the personal achievements
supported by a more detailed team report. Course code: EIT130 Teachers: Suleyman Malki & Lambert Spaanenburg Students: Optional for D and E. Int. Master "System-on-Chip"
students must take at least this course or the companion "IC Project
& Verification". Course Text: S. Malki and L. Spaanenburg. Vision with Digital CNNs (concept) |
